Hello,
I need some help with a solver block. I have attached the .mcdx fill. I'm trying to solve for 3 variable with 4 equations (constraints) which are a function of theta.
I feel I'm going about this wrong.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Ken

I am able to successfully import data via a text file (.txt) by using this READPRN command. However when the .txt file changes (i.e. data change), the import matrix in MathCAD is not automatically updated. I need to close the program down and re-open to have the updated numbers.
The question here is, whether if there is a nicer way to do this? Another command maybe?
I know I can always do right click “disable evaluation” and “enable evaluation”, but the problem is I open/use this Mathcad sheet through an easy batch code for an another program, so mouse commands are not an option for me.
Thanks in advance!
Good morning,
I am using the "erl" function to get the reduced row-echelon form of a mxn matrix. However, the results in MathCad 15 shows some fractions. If you make some han calculations you can get the unit form matrix (only 1/0 in the upper left portion of matrix) and thats the result that you get from other software like Maple, MatLab or making all reduction steps by hand. I am wondering if there is any way to get this from MathCad.

Hi,
I am running Mathcad 15 student edition on a Windows XP PC. I will be selling this PC in Canada, moving to England, buying a new PC which will run Windows 7 and installing Mathcad on the new PC. What are the steps I need to take to transfer the Mathcad license?
Thanks
I applied on the english website, but the software is now in german, as my OS is in German. I prefer Mathematical software in English. How can I change the language of the GUI of Mathcad?
Thanks in Advance.
Hi friends,
well I just must realize, that Prime is a step backward. One the one hand important functions are missing and on the other hand all the experts out in the communities who has Mathcad 14/15 can not work with the MathCad Prime worksheets as it is not backward compatibility.
I think PTC must improve PRIME quite a lot, as now the userbility is other but not better. Where is the useful collabsable region feature in Prime?
comments are welcome.

Hello,
I've been using a 30 day trial version of Mathcad 3.1 at school. After this trial version expired I bought a license code from our teacher. He bought a bunch of licences wholesale I guess back when 3.0 was still the bomb. The code I got consists of 14 positions, then 2 blocks of 4 positions. So it looks like this: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx
I can't figure out where to download the older version 3.0. Could I use the above code for 3.1 as well?
Thanks

Hi,
I just encounterd multiple crashes yesterday - especially plotting with huge floating point numbers seems to stall. Storing the 8MB big file takles quite some time may be it computes all the sheet before saving.
Today I'm confronted with frequent "invalid pointer" messagers in German "ungültiger zeiger" .
2 Questions:
- what does this pop-up want to say to me?
- should I invest 320€ to head to M15?
May be also cleaning the xmcd may help?
thanks

Hi all,
I was seeing some strange inconsistencies between sheets when attempting to evaluate expressions symbolically. After some time I traced the inconsistency back to the "point" shown in the attached sheet.
The attached sheet shows what I expect to see. After evaluating a function and assigning the result to a variable, the symbolic evaluation shows the result.
However, in a different worksheet, I see the following:
For some reason, Mathcad is presenting the result as the original function. I'll post the problem sheet if necessary, but as you can see here, Mathcad has already found a numeric solution and assigned it to a variable, and has even managed to display it when called up again. But when I use the symbolic evaluation on it, it brings up the whole function. But in the attached worksheet, it does not.
Any ideas why this happens? Or at least, why the difference between worksheets?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
When printing your Mathcad files to pdfs it seems to save the gridlines as a picture behind the text. This can easily double the size of your files (see annex: pdf with excel-component (also a picture) created with adobe PDF). It is therefore wise to save pdfs with the gridlines deactivated.
