Referencing Another Row in a Table in MathCad Prime 3.1
I would like to create a table where one of the columns was a calculation that involved items in multiple rows of another column. For example on column had gear ratios and another had the split between adjoining gears.
It is possible to reference another column and an entry in the top row populates (but doesn't display) the values in the other cells of that column. Is there a way to reference a cell in a different row from within a table?
The documentation on tables in Mathcad Prime is next to non-existent.
Is it possible to have a table display all values and not just the calculation equation in the top row?

How to add two graph in Mathcad
Hi, I am trying to model solar cell characteristics in partial shading. i need to add two graphs which i have already plotted in Mathcad.Please suggest me any general method. Further how to add independent variable? I have thought of this way once but not possible.can two independent variable ( for example I have f(x1) and f(x2)) be added to form a third variable. (I mean is it possible to define f( x1+x2). I tried the same in mathcad but it seem impossible. if this two functions are already plotted how to get the superimposed graph of two? Mathcad 15 won't run on Windows 7
Hi
I have a computere with windows 7 x64 there, no matter what i do, won't run mathcad 15.
The installation seems to be completed without any problems, but when i try to run the application, the splash screen shows up, but after a short period of time, the application crash without any error messages except the Windows own "Mathcad application has stopped working". I have another computer also with windows 7 x64, and here the application will start without any problems . The only differense between these computers is that the first one is a "samsung" installation width showelware and all, and computer nr. 2 is a vanilla installation of windows.
I have tried the following
Reinstallation of MSXML 4.0 SP.2
---------||--------- of .Net, i can't remember the version, but it was the newest I could find.
Reinstallation of the computer (with the samsung disk)
But nothing seems to work. Mathcad 14 worked without any problems...
I hope somebody will help, and sorry for my bad english, i´m a dane

Mathcad 6.0 + and Windows 7
Any Mathcad 6.0+ fans out there?
I've been using it since 1995. I got the Mathcad 7 and 8 upgrades and hated them. So, I've been using 6.0+ ever since.
Mathcad 6.0+ ran fine on Win 95, Win NT, Win 98, Win 2000, and Win XP. Win 2000 and XP were a little trickier to install. I just took a good install from a Win 95 machine, copied the whole WINMAD directory and transferred it to the 2000 or XP machine. Then I tweaked the Windows file associations manually.
Now I have Windows 7. I tried the same procedure. Most everything works fine, except when I Save or Save As... Mathcad 6.0+ shuts down abruptly. I’ve fiddled with the Compatibility mode and settings, but I get the same results.
Any suggestions?

simple 2D plot not working
I have searched through the forms and tried to correct this error but to no avial. The last 2D plot is not working for some reason and I do not know why. I am using the express version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Exporting from Mathcad to Word
Hi all!
When i copy from mathcad and paste to word (i tried different paste options) text is ok, but formulas are as pictures, it is also if i save as .rtf file. Is there any way to export formulas to word as text or equations, and not as pictures?

Mathcad 15 - Preferred units in results?
I am using Mathcad 15 for a course in Quantum Chemistry. Is there a way to set default units so that they match those commonly accepted in the dicipline?
For instance, when I calculate wavenumber, my result is in m^-1 rather than the commonly accepted cm^-1, and frequency is in s^-1 rather than Hz.

Hello, I am troubleshooting an installation of Mathcad 13.1. When launching from the machine with the installation there are no problems. However, This machine is on a network and the goal is to allow user client machines to launch the application served by the machine with the installed version of Mathcad 13.1. When a client machine tries to launch Mathcad from the mapped network drive the error "Unable to create 12.0 factory" is displayed. Has anyone any experience running Mathcad locally on a client machined from a server with this error? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Dr. Valery Ochkov visited PTC headquarters today. He traveled all the way from Russia to speak with the Mathcad business unit. I was able to have lunch with Dr. Ochkov and discuss his ideas on how to better share worksheets within the community.
He also came bearing gifts. Here's the Mathcad clock he gave me...it is now hanging in my office.

How to retrive an eigenvector connected to its eigenvalue
I am still using MC v.11.x.
From a matrix I needed to extract the eigenvalues and eigenvectors, and re-order them (starting from the eigenvalues) in a decreasing manner. Accordingly I needed to change column order to the eigenvectors, so they correspond to the new order of the eigenvalues. I used the function eigenvec(M,z) for this. Yet without success.
The Figure I hope explains the problem, in its essence (there is no re-ordering here). It shows that the connected eigenvector to its eigenvalue (captured with "eigenvec" function), is not the same of the one that appears in the function "eigenvecs(M)".
I understand (or to say better, I realized, see the Figure) that the same eigenvalue may have multiple eigenvectors. But now:
1. How can I extract the same eigenvector that appers in the "eigenvecs" function, by recalling its own eigenvalue?
2. And more in general, is there a way to see the multiplicity of eigenvectors connected to a given eigenvalue?

Excel Component (2007) Not Updating in Mathcad 15
How can I get my 2007 Excel file to refresh and deliver the updated answer back to Mathcad 15? The WRITEEXCEL and READEXCEL commands in Mathcad 15 work fine.
Problem details:
- I use WRITEEXCEL command in Mathcad 15 to change a cell in an Excel 2007 worksheet (.xlsx or .xlsm).
- When I open the Excel file directly, the cell is changed to the correct value, but I must go to the cell and hit return for the rest of the spreadsheet to update. This defeats the usefulness of the Mathcad-Excel interaction.
Will Excel 2010 work better? That's an easy upgrade for me. Is Mathcad Prime required? Prime may not be an easy upgrade for me.
